That's just such a plain lie, I don't understand how he gets away with it. EVERYBODY knows that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 - or al-qaeda, even Bush admitted this four years ago, saying there was "no evidence". But now it seems he's changed his mind.
He then continued:

"For America, the decision we face in Iraq is not whether we ought to take sides in a civil war, it's whether we stay in the fight against the same international terrorist network that attacked us on 9/11".

"I don't need to remind you who al-Qaeda is," Bush reminded. "Al-Qaeda is the group that plot and planned and trained killers to come and kill people on our soil. The same bunch that is causing havoc in Iraq were the ones who came and murdered our citizens."
He then continued:
"Nor do I need to remind you who trained this terrorist organisation during the 1980s, when we decided the best way to get Russia out of Afghanistan was to train and arm terrorists, rather than doing it ourselves."(Not really)
