It might be time just to devote this blog to the lies of White House press secretary Tony Snow.
Basically pretty much all scientists, and 2/3rds of the American population, think stem cell research is a good idea, it's an amazing opportunity for scientists to research cures for diseases like cancer, diabetes, parkinsons, etc. The ONLY thing stopping it is Bush's veto (and by the way, what kind of democracy let's laws be passed or blocked on the whim of one person?). Obviously he's doing this to appease right-wing Christian evangelics, some would say, "putting ideology before science". But when passed through the filter of Tony Snow, this statement becomes "putting science before ideology"!
Doesn't that make a whole fucking LOAD of sense? Tony Snow himself was diagnosed with colon cancer two years ago, and frankly I wish it had killed him.
