The End Of Freedom

BBC NEWS | Politics | Brown wins crunch vote on 42 days
Prime Minister Gordon Brown has narrowly won a House of Commons vote on extending the maximum time police can hold terror suspects to 42 days.
Yes, so we're fighting a war against the terrorists who are trying to take away our freedom, and we do this by slowly eroding every little bit of civil liberty left in our legal system? The most depressing thing is you know this is only the beginning...they have no new arguments now than they did when they voted in 28 days, so why not hold people for 90 days? Why not 180? Fuck it, why not just lock up anyone who looks a bit dodgy and be done with it?
