Fuck Ties

BBC NEWS | Education | Schools switching to clip-on ties
Clip-on ties are replacing knotted school ties, as schools worry about health and safety worries, says a survey of school uniform suppliers.
Oh My Days, why on earth do people still have to wear ties? This is also one of the few things it is possible to agree with Iran on; "An extreme example of anti-necktie sentiment is found in Iran, whose theocratic rulers have denounced the accessory as a decadent symbol of Western oppression." Well indeed. It's much easier to make people do what you want when they all dress exactly the same and act as a herd rather than individuals. The only reason ties are still popular is because of this pathetic need for humans to look like every one else, and the small-minded culture that if someone isn't wearing a tie they aren't "smart". Send two men for a job interview and the retard with a tie will get it over the genius without one. Does that make sense? I always enjoy Chomskys method of imagining you're an alien observing some other strange alien culture (the humans). Imagine how freaked out they'd be that one of the most important status symbols in society is whether you have a randomly coloured piece of fabric tied round your neck? If I was them I wouldn't even bother attempting contact.
