BBC NEWS | Entertainment | Crow calls for limit on loo paper Singer Sheryl Crow has said a ban on using too much toilet paper should be introduced to help the environment. Crow has suggested using "only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where two to three could be required".
Er... that's just insane. The amount of toilet paper you use over your whole life time probably uses about as much energy as a day in a car? I'm getting sick of people saying they're doing their best to stop global warming, because they use less toilet roll or switch off their lights or turn their TV on standby. These things only serve to make people feel better, the only way we can really solve global warming is to find out the things that cause the most damage and prioritise. Having your TV on standby for 10 days instead of switched off uses the same amount of energy as one shower. It's important we think about things and not just be told "this will help" and then blindly follow.

there was nothing in the bbc article to indicate it was a joke. I have since read the whole article and still don't get it....She seems pretty serious to me. If it is a joke it's not particularly funny!?
