Polish Copyright Law

Apparently in Poland it's against the law to translate copyrighted works into a different language. That can't be a good idea? What if you're like teaching someone French, and show them the Simpsons in English and translate it for them? That'd be breaking the law, very silly.



But in Poland six people have been arrested (after 6am raids) for translating movies. The article says the maximum penalty is two years in jail, let's hope they get lucky!
