Unfortunately though it still seem's that the problem is always presented as though it's both Israel and Palestine's fault. Obviously there are a huge amount of complications between Fatah/Hamas/Iran and Israel, but the fact is Palestinians are resisting their occupation, if Israel gave them independence over their own land they would have no reason to fire rockets into Israel. No amount of military power will ever stop them resisting and, as this article suggests, the stronger the power they face, the more likely it is that al-Qaida will step in to "help". And that's a prospect nobody, Palestinians or Israelies, could possibly wish for.
