FUCK GOOGLE

Google Chrome Releases: Beta release: 0.2.149.29
Fix a buffer overflow vulnerability in handling link targets displayed in the status area when the user hovers over a link. This is a critical risk that could lead to execution of arbitrary code.
So basically my World Of Warcraft account got hacked this morning. Yes yes, very funny, I'm a nerd and I've lost imaginary swords and gold, I get that. But basically I was majorly confused as to how this could have happen, I've been using the internet for 10 years and I'm not stupid, and anyway I use Firefox which blocks malicious downloads right? OH WAIT, I'VE BEEN USING GOOGLE CHROME THE LAST FEW DAYS. So basically I hovered over a link and got a keylogger installed. Cheers Google.

It's funny though really because if some hacker really has keylogged me, why didn't they wait to get some useful information like say my credit card details? It seems all they wanted was my Warcraft password. And they didn't even change it so I can still login and get customer support to fix it (hopefully). Noobs.

UPDATE: So I finally found the the damn virus. AVG found nothing even thought it took four hours, and that pissed me off because I always thought AVG was good, but then I tried a free online scan from McAfee and it found the little bastard, it's called PWS-OnlineGames.c.dll. Now I just have to work out how to remove it.

You can only blame yourself! Google Chrome is a BETA software! You shouldn't use it for normal browsing, but for testing...

Try BitDefender Free Edition. It's the second better antivirus available (just behind Kaspersky), and is free.

lol if kapersky is better why don't I use that? anyway I finally managed to get rid of it using something called Avir Antivirus. It found about 10 viruses on my system where AVG (fully updated) found none, which I was quite annoyed about.
