The Budget: Distorting The Markets

BBC NEWS | Politics | At-a-glance: Budget 2009
From next month motorists to get £2,000 discount on new cars if they trade in cars older than 10 years - this will remain in place until March 2010
Fuck me could you possibly distort demand any more? Why doesn't he just pay us to buy things? Oh wait, cos that doesn't make any fucking sense, and neither does this!

What about this for a Car Scrappage Scheme: Drive your car till it breaks then get it fixed or by a new one! Just because a care is over 10 years old doesn't mean it can't be in perfectly good working order, and bribing people with £2,000 to replace it with another equally capable car purely in order to prop up the failing and incompetent car companies is about irresponsible and wreckless as it is possible to be.

This is nice:
Income tax for those earning more than £150,000 to rise to 50% from April 2010
But feels like a blatant attempt to appease lefties like me and make us forget all the rest of the bullshit he's done. Ooh time for Cameron's response.
